Sixth graders from Skyview Upper Elementary joined Wissahickon Trails for an immersive field trip on May 11 focused on human impact within our local watershed.
To better understand how our daily actions influence water chemistry and nutrient levels, students conducted hands-on stream analysis and soil sampling. Using hand lenses for close observation and testing for nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, our young scientists gained a firsthand look at environmental stewardship.
A huge thank you to Wissahickon Trails for providing such an enriching experience for our students!
