Skyview 6th Grade Band Performs at Elmwood Park Zoo

Our Skyview 6th Grade Band had a fantastic day at the Elmwood Park Zoo this past Wednesday, May 13! The students kicked off the trip with a wonderful outdoor performance right outside the main entrance, followed by lunch and a day of exploring the exhibits.

Thanks to a generous mini-grant from the Skyview Home and School, students also participated in an educational animal encounter. They met with a zoo trainer to learn about Hungry Jack the pancake tortoise and Stuart the ferret.

A massive thank you to Skyview's Band Director, Mrs. Traci Bugosh, and to the wonderful parent chaperones and nurse who made this memorable day possible. We are so proud of our young musicians!
